- There are 32 teams in the league, separated into two conferences - National Football Conference (NFC) & American Football Conference (AFC)...also known as the Average Football Conference :P
- Each conference is split into four divisions - North, South, East, and West
- Six teams from each conference goes to the playoffs - the winningest teams of each division and two wild cards (teams with the next-best overall records)
- Out of the four division winners, the two teams with the best records receive a bye for the first week of the playoffs, whereas the other two teams play each wild card
- Winners of the wild card week go on to play divisional games
- Winners of the divisional games go on to play for their respective conference championship
- Winners of the AFC & NFC championships go on to play the Super Bowl. BOOM!
